Exhaust Size For FI

hello everyone, I was wondering what my exhaust options are to get now... if I plan to go FI in the future. The reason I ask is because a lot of the exhauset I have found seem to be below 2.5" in diameter... any help is appreciate it.

Thanks!

It depends on the size of the turbo. Turbo cars live and die dependent on exhaust velocity and backpressure. The best thing you can do for a turbo car is remove cats. You basically don't want the exhaust system itself to be slowing exhaust velocity. The turbo will be the biggest source of backpressure in the exhaust system. But that's a good thing as that's what will spool it. As long as you don't have cats and a straight-through muffler, you should be good with dual 2.5".
