Blown rear differential mount bushing

The service manager just told me Infiniti would cover mines.
However, it looks like this is the "weak link" in this car, especially if you want to drive it hard. Mine is a manual with a few runs down the quarter mile, so I'm sure that didn't help. Anybody have an auto with this issue?
For what it's worth, I'll have the them ask the tech about how he feels about installing a different bushing.

I ran out of my warranty, so I was looking at paying out of pocket. I was told others just deal with the loud bang noise in shifting hard and it wouldn't effect other parts. I sure hope that is true. I have a 6 MT as well and I believe the MTs have more complaints since we slam second hard vs autos.

You're correct about the dealer. Swap the entire sub-frame and that's it.
I talked to the shop that tuned the car and they are also aware of this issue, especially with the 370z.
They charge 5hrs of labor to install the aftermarket bushing. I'll just wait and see how this one holds up.

Guys, this is really no different than the practice of swapping out the entire rear timing cover for the sake of a few gaskets, or like the complete steering wheel replacements they used to do to fix the steering wheel trim on the early V36 sedan (before they came out with a discrete part). The logic seems incomprehensible, but I'm pretty sure it's just bean counter stuff.

I just found out mine started leaking or showing dripping in the driveway today. So can I go for a bit before changing it, several months? I am a teacher and coach so I can probably get the recommended aftermarket bushing done in the summer.
I cannot risk my car being out for the moment so I do not want to think of attempting it yet. The dealer quoted $1600 for the dealer to fix it and there is no way I would consider that.

I'm about to purchase 4.08s... I thought all I needed was the gears and this set:
Nissan rear differential seals and bearings kit - 350z G35 370z G37
Is there a better option than that? What are the benefits? Thanks!!
