I tried the search option but didn't really find much.

Okay so I'm mulling over the idea of getting short/mid tube headers (or whatever you guys call them) as headers are the single most significant power modification for a non turbo VQ supposedly..
and I may want to keep my High flow cats meaning I'm leaning towards STH, but all the info and research will tell

I have seen a few different aftermarket brands but I'd like to know what are my options and possibly without breaking a bank either... any Dyno charts or any experience you guys have and could share it with me I'd be grateful.

I have a 6MT Sedan if that matters.

"Shorty" or short tube headers. For reference:

I have been researching this for a while. I know of the Stillen and the AMS motorsports, which look very similar but much cheaper. Also the Z1 headers but these will only bolt on to pipes or HFCs made for the VQ35DE engine, so you will have to swap out your cats, which is something that you don't want.

As for some reviews, mostly found them on 350z/g35:

Stillen headers and cats dyno test - G35Driver

Stillen Headers installed - Review/Pics/Vid/Dyno - Nissan 370Z Forum

Removed Stillen Headers - Before/After Dyno - MY350Z.COM Forums

I have wanted to purchase the AMS motorsports headers, but the installation would be over $400 plus a retune. Also I don't want to risk a possible hiss or rasp that will kill my already neat set up.

Long tubes are a more popular mod for the 370z/g37. If you decide for those, then FI and PPE are some common ones.

However, here is a nice comparison of two different setups. One long tube headers and another "shorties" plus HFC.

Thank You Alfredo, my brother mentioned DC to me being good enough or decent from his personal experience before, and if you click on your link, there you have the options for infiniti g37 as well and theres two different choices NHC4202 and NHS4202 both fit sedans up to 2013 either SS or Ceramic. I gotta look into that and plan accordingly for spring! Thanks for the link!

I had a dc sport header on my 00 prelude back in the day... Didn't make much power to be honest... I modded the collector and made it a 2.5" collector and it made a little power then... But idk about their Z products

Well, prelude had no power to begin with... So certainly headers wouldn't do much either

lol. But seriously, the headers for the Z/G are a 3-1 design, which is different from the 4-2-1 or 4-1 application for the 4 cylinders.

Also, all the headers that I have posted are almost the exact same design.
Stillen and DC sports offer 409 SS, while the others are 304 SS. Not sure if there is a difference in anything other than corrosion resistance.

Anyone know if there is a difference in the OEM vs. aftermarket tubing size?

Found another set from Top Speed.

https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart...on.php?II=6543

They also make a ballsy claim:

"This is the single most significant power modification for a non-turbo Z car (short of nitrous). Expect an increase in horsepower throughout the RPM range with the greatest gains at higher RPMs. The car remains driveable and noise level is not increased. Features Mandrel bends, T-304 stainless steel, Dyno tested design. Benefits: Optimum flow characteristics, long life and excellent heat dissipation, expect up to 12-16 rear wheel horsepower".

Surprised when I read that noise level is not increased.

I had great results with knockoff LTH.

Headers are NOT the most significant power adder, catless is.

This is just the FI RHFC. Yes, it is a low reading dyno.

Those are DE headers, which if I am not mistaken, cannot fit with the HR cats. So only headers made for the VQ35HR will also fit the G37.
