I don't think there is a difference. For the 08+ ones, the only difference is that in the 08-09 models, the chrome/brushed alum on the shifter chips easily. They fixed that from 10+. I bought my self a shifter off ebay for $50. Probably could find it cheaper. I'm guessing this should fit.

Heres some links off ebay I found,

I was also wondering this as well, seems like a very common problem with these failing. Anybody know which are interchangeable?

Just be aware when buying these used, they may say "fully working" but the sellers do not always know if that is in reference to sport mode failing (although that may not be why you are looking for a new one). I bought a used one that was supposed to be working and had it fail in sport mode right away. I ended up buying a brand new one

Yeah, mine is intermittently not working, when it doesn't work, if I put it over to the DS side, it just stays in normal "d" and unable to down/upshift with the tapshift (or whatever it's called)

How did you get it diagnosed to make sure if was the shifter assembly and not something else (or that the shifter wasn't repairable etc?) Did you find out which ones were interchangeable by any chance?

I cannot confirm exactly. All I know is I have an 08 coupe, the first used one I put in was from an 09 G35x, and now I have the brand new one. All three have worked.

I am doing this myself as soon as the replacement I found on ebay for only $100 adrives on the 4th. Hopefully won't be very complicated and can button it all back up in one day. A $111 with shipping on a used but great condition floor shifter and this one has a brand new shift ****. Feel like I may have gotten a really great price. Hoping this also solves one other issue i have had with it coming ouy of manual shifting because i really don't buy all the statements i get from my local dealer especially as this is my4th g series but my family has been buying cars from the same overhead owner from various dealers for almost 40 years now. I don't ask for much but I have been screwed over by this particular Infiniti dealer so much I won't buy a new one. I plan on simply putting the 400hp, 350tq VE30TT drivetrain in my car since it's still only getting around 1000 miles a year and its getting a fresh paint job and new front bumper just from the years of snow and ice we get here in NJ.

Yes. I have seen that many times. I have to much personal labor invested in my 09 g37xS sedanso I won't be making any changes that are in effect a further modified part but I do like the automatic shifter **** that is available at B2DESIGNS. Might be up your alley.
