G37 start up: Hit and miss

Hey guys, well title says it all, my car sometimes will start and sometimes won't, its very unpleasing knowing that i can be far away and my car won't end up starting and i'll be stuck. I mean it has yet to not fully start for me, it usually works after the 5th or 6th time i try to start it up. Also got a new battery a few months ago, so that can't be it. The only mod i have is the Stillen Gen 3, please help if anybody knows about this issue, it would be much appreciated

Mine had that issue for a while, it has 1000cc injectors though so it flooding. maybe yours has the opposite problem?

How many miles you got? If its a high mileage G then could be a lot of issues

I had the same problem. I just had both clutch pedal switches replaced. Too soon to know if that was the problem.

i had similar issue where it would die right away, rpms would go to 1500 then down to 0. Dealer cleaned throttle bodies and it went away, was only happening on warm starts usually

How'd you get the dealership to do clean the throttle bodies? I've had the same issue as you happen several times the past few months. It seems to only happen when the engine is warm. Being under warranty, the service manager said they usually can't do anything since they don't know what's causing it and infiniti warranty won't pay for random fixes. He said it's not the first time he's had a G come in for this problem. He thinks it's an electronic issue since it only happens when the engine is warm.

I know there is a DIY on cleaning the TB, but I'd rather have it done under warranty by a technician.

I had the same exact problem. Warm engine that would stumble and idle would drop real low during startup. Dealer said its a common issue of carbon building up in the TB's, so they cleaned it under warranty.
So far, so good.
