Performance Mods!

Hello everyone riding this lovely car.

Okay let me give you my mods, and I would like to know what else I can do to produce more power.

Currently I have:

- R2C intakes
- Pulley
- Stillen headers
- ARK exhaust

I need to do what necessary to increase performance, thanks.

Switch that r2c intake for a Stillen or takeda cold air intake, high flow cats or test pipes replacement then a tune. Should see some power then.

Get a turbo or supercharger...Not a whole lot of "power" your going to get beyond what you have.

Not true and you need DEEP pockets, Not saying the OP doesn't just right to point to FI right away.

Ok was said already change the R2C intakes to Takeda's - You will make the same WHP as Stillen at 100$ less cost and NO cutting the rad support. I know first hand had both . Stay away from the pulley , and headers. The headers cost VS power really isn't there unless you get long tubes and then I'm still EH and will make the car loud( Not sure you want that)

Pretty much, Takeda's, HFC's Cat back and tune will get you over 300WHP and make the car really fun to drive. You can should also look into the M370 intake manifold. Your low end and midrange will increase even more.

hey thanks for the info.

Is the Takeda easy to install or I'll have to remove the bumper for installation?

Will sure look into that.

Not too difficult to install, but front bumper needs to be removed for sure. With just Takeda Cai and ark grip exhaust I made 295whp in 105 degree weather, so probably a little over 300 whp in better weather. As ANMVQ stated, it is much more fun to drive if your Ok with not running 11's I the quarter mile.

The bumper does not have to be removed. I got a friend that got it done without removing the bumper. I took my bumper off when i did it its only a couple screws and bolt nothing too hard. Another option will be to remove the front grill to make it easier on you.

if you want one of the best performance increase, get steeper gears for your differential. since you have an X model, you'll need to purchase gears for your front diff too...

Increase in torque to the wheels is crazy... Coop did this and went to 4:08's, a 10% bump for 08, he had 3.69 to start. This won't be cheap but... wow.

You could always build the block to get more power if forced induction is not the path of power you want to take.

Get some high flow cats ot test pipes, m370 or z1 manifold, grounding kit and tune. Shave some car weight and light weight wheels. Rotational mass kills

This is the route I'm going after my research. It is cheaper as well. The diff swap can be done under $1K.
I got the 3.69 diff & DS for $600.

Thanks for the posts everybody.

My next plan is:

- Take intake which I have already ordered.
- M370 intake manifold (or if theres a better one).
- ARK HFC's
-Tune

should be fun
