Red face Car is shaky from Take off

Good Morning, i dont know if im in the right area but i have a question, i have a 14 Q60's 6MT

Last night i tryed racing another G, keep in mind im fairly new to MT
as i mashed the petal the car was just redlinning 2nd,3rd, 4th, afterwords i smelt the clutch and now the car feels all shaky from take off from a stand still even if im taking off correctly it still jitters a bit, is there something wrong with it?

If you mean it shudders when you try to take off smoothly from a stop, then you might have fried your clutch. One clue was when you said you could smell it after your little romp with the other car. I doubt they will cover an item like this since it's considered a wear item like brake pads and you might be stuck with the cost of replacing the clutch and not them. You can still use the clutch if it's grabbing without slipping during gear changes but your smooth starts in 1st. gear might be gone for awhile. It's just a guess but that's what I would look at first.

it's a little bit better now, still rumbles, just not as much, maybe something takes a few runs to kick it back together,

it has less than 6k miles on it, i dont think the clutch should burn that quickly, i treat the clutch like a hot potatoe

Sounds like the clutch is fried.

Brand new car and you've already managed to break something... Wow.

Better tow it back to the dealer and pray they have mercy on you.

Leave racing to the professionals.

Before you go writing your clutch off put your car in 3rd gear and try to take off. Does the car stall? If so your clutch is more than likely ok. Something elsr you can try is get your car up to highway speeds (attempt in 4th/5th gear) and do a few WOT pulls. Do you feel the pull of the car or does the the tachometer just rev up with no feeling of that pull?

My honest answer, you just need to learn the feel of the Q60 clutch better. I can only assume Inifiniti kept the same clutch feel with the Q60's from the G37's.

LOL at all the doom & gloom....
Your clutch is fine. Your not going to kill it that quick. You likely glazed the clutch disk though, maybe some hot spots on the flywheel. The fix is to drive normally & easy, it will wear in a bit & then feel fine.

Your clutch is fine. The clutch is basically made of the same material as a brake pad. I've never heard of "frying" a brake pad after a few or even several emergency stops. It takes much more than that to wear down the compound. Just take it easy for a little while.

I absolutely agree with you. OP, just drive the thing normally for a little bit.
