Mods before tuning

I have Takeda SRI, CNT test pipes and Megan Catback exhaust. I'm thinking about getting an Uprev tune soon. my question is, do you think getting the headers before I tune it would be worth it? I'm asking because money is the issue. Stillen headers are $560 and installation fee is probably like $200. On top of that Uprev tune costs $600. Do you think the headers would make a big difference?

Hahaha, you think installation is only 200? Try 4 hours of work, buddy. If work is 50 bucks and hour in your area, go for it.

I think if you are going to get a tune it's best to get all your performance mods and then get the tune.

Yeah I was thinking about that, I just wanted to see if anyone has installed the headers and got the tune. I wanted to get some opinions on whether it is worth it or not. Or if it makes a big difference... I kinda don't want to spend almost another $900 if it's not gonna make much difference to be honest.

G37 already comes with tube headers. They can be improved, but the benefit of short tube headers over the OEM headers is relatively small. If you are going to replace the headers, get long tube headers, PPE, or Fast Intentions. That'll pick up around 10hp over test pipes+OEM shorties

I totally agree about the long tube headers over shorts with test pipes. You'll have more power over all and they'll look bad *** too. lol
