No, the mishimoto kit is NOT worth the additional $200. I have personally installed the Stillen 19, 25, and 32 row kits on several 370z's, the mishimoto kit on my G37, and the mishimoto kit on a 370.

The stillen cooler core is a very well made Setrab core copy, and comes with either a thermostatic, or a non thermostatic plate. Personally, I think that unless you are doing very, very hard track sessions, or extended periods of very hard driving, you don't need anything more than a 25 row cooler. I tracked my car over a weekend, about 4-5 hours total of track time with 30 minutes in between to cool it down. I had a 19 row oil cooler and experienced no issues, or limp modes.

I initially installed the Mishimoto sandwich plate, and had it blow out and dump 7 quarts of oil all over the road about 2 days post-install. The mechanic who inspected it told me that it was a faulty O-ring causing the leak. Since then, I've been contacted by Mishimoto reps, and they say they've since then modified their manufacturing processes to avoid issues like this. It's your money, personally, I will not be purchasing another Mishimoto product.

A word on knockoff brands. Don't skimp out on this. Your oil system is the blood of your engine. A knockoff brand may look solid, but unless you plan on doing destruction tests on it to make sure they're good, I would not buy it. Spend the cash up front and get a good kit with a decent core, like Setrab, or Stillen, and you won't need to deal with the pain in the *** of getting your car towed and being out of service.

You already knew the answer before you asked. Lol. The Z1 Setrab core kit is a good one. Engine oil cooling is an area where money should be no object. That said, you may save a few bucks by buying the components (core, lines, fittings, etc.) separately sourced form different vendors. Ebay is a place where you can save a few bucks if you get lucky and know what you are buying (quality vs junk).

+1, you might save some cash buying components from Summit Racing. Just make sure your sizing is correct with the lines, fittings, and coolers. I have -10AN fittings for everything.

The install is quite easy, too. The hardest part of assembling all the parts separately is fabricating a bracket for the cooler core. I used a drill and some L bracket from Home Depot to bolt my cooler core in the correct position.

So I don't ever plan on tracking my car HARD per say, but I will be driving my car on a road trip in a few months, will a OIL cooler, specifically the one from Z1 be beneficial ? Driving from TX, LA, MS, AL, and FL with temps in the 100s during the summer I would imagine so with a upgraded radiator ?

No. If you aren't running forced induction or tracking with regularity in a hot climate, you don't need an oil cooler. I've tracked quite a bit in Texas summers and only once did I have any minor overheating issues. This was late in the afternoon during an extended run.

On a road trip your car will be fine running at highway speeds. Our cooling system isn't bad.
