A shop with a Dyno of course. The Dyno is the tool that shows you what the tweaks to the ECU has done..... Or you could pay someone to butt Dyno it for you.

I am pretty sure the track has a dyno too. But for some reason I feel like the track would be a safer bet than the shop. Don't know why

Sorry Bro... I misinterpreted what you were saying. I was stuck on some guys comment about having his car tuned with Uprev without the tuner putting his car on a Dyno, because he has an X. That blew my mind a bit.

Anyone else think its funny that any valet that knows about UpRev will know how to switch maps lol

On my old Subaru the switching was done by the AccessPort so only I could make the map switches.

Blew your mind? Really? Your mind must be easily blown The dyno they have is set up for rear wheel, it's not a 4 wheel dyno. It would have not been a pretty picture if they would have strapped an AWD car into a rear-wheel only dyno.

Yo.... I understand that.

It was some other chap (Synolimit) that was speaking about getting a "tune" without dyno pulls..... I don't see how this is even remotely close to accurate but whatever floats his boat. For the cash the tuner was asking for $700+ it better be one hell of a "street tune".

Yeah that does seem like it would be defeating the purpose.

With knock and EGT monitoring I wouldn't actually mind tuning on the street especially if boosted.

Any one here run the Cobb Access Port? Curious why everyone only uses UpRev or Osiris. Is it just not as in depth or does it not squeeze as much power? Whats the deal

It's my understanding they don't even sell the Cobb access port anymore. Only FI cars.

Going to a shop that has a dyno & uses Uprev is your best bet. You will make the most power.

My 5AT with Intakes/Exhaust/HFC's made 305 hp @ the wheels. Not bad if you ask me. I got the sheet & video also. The license & having them tune it was $595.

Unhappy what is the valet map meaing ?

2) valet map - limited to 3k rmps and 30mph
3) no-start map (self explanatory) useful for vacations if you park your car on the street or in public

You can do up to 5 maps but not really all that useful. I inquired about an "eco" map for when I take road trips. They actually talked me out of it, explaining I might only get about 5 extra mpg and that if I ever forgot to switch out of eco or accidentally switched into eco - If i floored it i could do some serious damage to the engine... heat and some other stuff, i forget the details but i figured i would just skip on it.

The tune was successful though I still get about 20-22 mpg highway and I gained 15-16 hp from the tune alone!

pretty sure the license for a first time buyer is 500$ and then about 1 to 1.5 hours of labor for the tuner to work the car and customize your tune, depending on how many pulls you want to get to adjust settings and how long you wait in between for the car to cool down.

Additional tunes/license use in the future is like $100 im pretty sure.

after this , i want to know what is valet map ?

is that a mod that if you press the button , the car only can go under 30 mph ?
can not pass 3000 rpm ?

I got an uprev tune and I payed $300 for the license and $300 for the tune. I got only 3 of the 5 maps since I won't use them all. loving it!
