just purchased 2010 G37S (first oil change input)

I just purchased a 2010 G37S and want to do an oil change so that I can start keeping track of my maintenance. The car is a 6 speed manual and has 41,000 miles now. Do you recommend synthetic or conventional oil? *Note: I drive roughly 1,600 miles a month. Thanks!

Type "synthetic or conventional oil" into the search above and you will find more threads on this subject than you can "shake a stick at"

Next to abortion, political affiliation and 87 vs 91 octane, it's the most highly debated subject in the universe.

haha touché. I'll probably switch to synthetic because of how frequent/long I'm driving

It doesnt matter if it is synthetic or conventional the change interval is what matters.
If you want to be safe the manual recommends 3750-7500 mile oil changes to make it more confusing.
Do what makes you comfortable within that range and go with any oil that is recommended weight 5w-30 and you will be fine.

Personal choice. Either will work fine. Conventional is cheaper. Synthetic allows longer oil change intervals. No more room on the forum for another one of these threads.
