Low Profile Radiator Fans

My OEM fans are starting to die and I figured I may as well upgrade them. Picked up a pair of SPAL 14" fans but the problem is their motors stick out too much and would rub against my engine pulleys. I am now looking at low profile fans and was wondering if anyone recommends a certain brand/type? I'm looking at flex-a-lite anyone have any experience with them?

Also, if anyone has his OEM fans out, could you measure the thickness for me please?

Any feedback would be appreciated

Cheers,
Sam

Thanks for your help man. According to:
http://www.spal-usa.com/fans/automat...s/30102130.pdf

The 12" fan is around 4" thick. Will definitely need to go thinner!

Hmmm this doesn't look so bad:

Just need to compare the flow rates on that bad boy.
