Trying to decide on an intake/tune
Not sure whether to go with an intake. The coupe is way too quiet and I want some more aggressive noise coming from the engine. I'd also like more horsepower, of course, but are the intakes effective without a tune?
I also can't seem to find a solid price range for a tune. If it costs $1k, I'm looking at $1400 for a tune/intake/installation...not worth it IMO.
What does everyone think?

Also have a Hypertech tuner. Got it for $270 (0-60 throttle removed, there premium tune with the Stillen Gen 3 Intake option).
Installed both myself.
Also have a full cat back exhaust $750 into it after selling some factory stuff.

A full dyno tune will be ~$600 the first time, with retune prices set by your shop. You can DIY a CAI install easily, even if you're installing the Stillen Gen 3's, which require some cutting. Hypertech tuner is a good route to go if you just want to do intakes.
If you're interested in sound modification, you might want to look at resonated cats, or even resonated test pipes. I agree, a full on dyno tune is unnecessary for just intakes.
All in, tune + stillen gen 3 intakes + DIY install should run you around 1K, assuming you pay full price.

I suggest you get an exhaust, an intake only sounds loud when you floor it.
Also, an exhaust does not mess with your MAF readings like your intake would, hence you won't "need" a tune with it.
