Transmission problem? Stalling when I stop
My car started stalling when I come to a stop. Feels like the clutch on the trans is not disengaging. If I give it some gas in Neutral and drop it in and feather it I can get moving again. Took it to the dealer it sat for 20 minutes when they pulled it into the garage it didn't stall. It was stalling at every stop. They found no codes and told me they could not duplicate it. I pulled out and it was a little better seem to be a drag on the engine when stopping but not every time. So I filled up the gas in case it was just low or something and drove home ...it stalled again on the way home and when i pulled in my parking spot it stalled. I started it and now when in gear and not moving a hear a transmission fluid hissing kind of sound it will still move. It was late so I didn't take it back to dealer taking it back in the morning. Something has to be hosed in the transmission. Engine runs really good strong car still shifts it's just at stops and now the hissing noise. Any ideas?

Well on my way to the dealer today. The trans smoked and dropped all it's fluid and the car stopped being able to move at all....still no codes......Duplicated
Had to have it towed in .....so there...I tried to save the tranny but since they "could not duplicate" the issue now it's completely shot.

Hopefully you are still under warranty and the cost to you will be $0.
Let us know what the dealership does for the repairs.

Be careful...it is possible that the transmission fluid pan wasn't correctly tightened and if the plug was loose, they can deny you a warranty claim.
They can claim that you hit a rock and caused it to be loose, or that you have had it serviced by a previous mechanic that didn't tighten it, etc.
Has the car ever been in an accident? It looks like you bought the car used and it could easily have been in a prior accident and not covered.

Still don't know what they are going to do. It's at the dealer. No news yet. It's still under factory warranty and is a CPO car so it was inspected and if it had issues should have been caught then. I also have the EEP warranty on it with no deductible. It's definitely covered.

If they take apart your transmission and found out it had the wrong fluid or that it was neglected for some time they have grounds to deny warranty coverage. If they find damage from an accident they will also deny it.
I've been through your same shoes. My car had a clean vehicle history report and was also eligible for CPO. Four years later my car was rear-ended and I took it to a bodyshop. Upon closer inspection after my accident, there was prior minor accidental damage that was very hard to detect. We all know that CarFax isn't reliable (which is what Infiniti bases their CPO eligibility on.) As for inspection, the dealer inspects the used car and submits papers for it to become CPO. For dealers, they just make more money selling it as CPO, so they will likely certify the car as long as it had a clean CarFax report and no blatant issues.
Of course, your experience might be great, and Infiniti will cover the transmission. I'm just saying there could be a possibility they may deny coverage if they discover that the transmission had some prior damage or it was neglected, regardless of what kind of warranty you had when you purchased the car.

Well I got the news today Infiniti is replacing my transmission under warranty. It will take 1 to 2 weeks though...I am glad they are replacing it though. Maybe the new one will be an updated revision? I hope so. Anyway it's working out for me I guess. Would rather it didn't fail but I will take the new trans.
