GTM MHI Twin Turbo Kit Roll Call

Yeah I wasn't aware of that and don't really care about it. I'm not stupid enough to buy a FI product based on a quarter mile time, so not really relevant to me. Don't really care. Thanks for sharing it though.
If it's not for you and you don't care for it or have a problem with GTM that's cool. This thread is really for those who are actually buying it though. I'd like to keep it on that track please. Bitches, gripes, and complaints by other people not even involved in purchasing is a different thread on a different forum I think.

Your previous 2 posts in the thread come across much differently to me. Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you are writing. At any rate, unless I'm misconstruing the OPs intent, this thread is exclusively for buyers to post in and share information. So as to avoid friction arising from posts by people who are not buying the parts yet come her to argue, bash, goad, or complain about something they aren't even a part and have no stake in. I'm sure you can understand.

It did come across a little bit argumentative NeveBoneStock but possibly not as bad as BB took. He must be getting near the end of his patience just like me.
A 1/4 mile time tells us nothing. These cars are useless at the drag strip! Ive got a mate who thrashes me down at the strip with his M35 Stagea but would still swap for my almost stock Skyline any day of the week (he runs low 12's).
The fastest 1/4mile G37 in the world is running a GTM kit so I am happy with my decision and have no worries about GTM delivering the goods.

And yes BB i did intend for this to be a discussion thread for the group buyers that was separate to GTM's threads. Unfortunately no one is interested or possibly its just you and me that are actually going ahead with this and the rest were all talk.
P.S I realised that people in the US might not know what a Stagea is......think Volvo 850 and you'll be close :P

Where is everyone at with this?
When I email GTM for an update - it gets ignored. When I call for an update, I either get fed one of many delay excuses or told to email my phone number so Sam can call me back.
I'm in for a 30% down payment currently. Terms are when rest of payment is received, they will ship purchase...(obviously they can't hold up that end of the agreement). I'm wondering has anyone here, who is part of the group buy had any conversation with GTM that these kits are even close to being ready to ship??

I'm 100% paid since the first week they accepted payments
GTM has completely gone dark here on the G37 forum. To get any news or info on the situation you'll have to search on 370Z forums unfortunately. Several weeks ago there was some attempt at updates and news but no firm commitment on a shipping date or even month. The thread I was following on the subject got closed. If I'm not mistaken the last word directly from GTM was definitely before summer. For what that's worth.
My take on it is that they'll ship when they ship. Any attempt to get a more firm definitive commitment on the time frame is only going to force someone to ignore your calls or emails, lie to you, or give you an excuse, or give you a noncommittal answer that is useless. Based upon the fact that those are the only things that have been dispensed this far on this. So if you are worried about the parts never coming or taking a much longer time (beyond what its already taken) your only option as I see it is to back out and get your deposit back. There have been problems with that taking forever too. The other option is to continue to wait, patiently or impatiently.
GTM has shat their pants on this one without question. I don't really understand how their business is organized as I've communicated with different people and couldn't discern a clear structure of who is in charge of or responsible for what. The attempt at goodwill that was extended by upgrading everyone to the Garrett ball bearing turbos in place of the MHI journal bearing ones was a great PR idea but badly executed. Instead of taking a few hours to personally call each customer to apologize for the delay and inform them of the upgrade, they missed that opportunity to pacify or appease customers and make them feel better about the lack of updates and the delays. I found out by someone posting something here about a thread they'd read on another forum. Ball fumbled. Instead of having one person regularly update all the threads where they posted to promote and sell the turbo parts in all the forums each week or two, they went reclusive and doled out tidbits of info here or there only on one or two forums. Fumble recovered by the defense. Instead of quickly issuing refunds to those who aren't inclined to let them hold thousands of their dollars, they stalled, delayed, and made BS excuses as to why someone at their business couldn't simply issue a simple refund right away of payment for a product not delivered in a timely manner. Fumble taken across the goal line by the defender.
Truly disappointing GTM. If there is a business or office manager there they're stealing from you each time they cash a paycheck because they are worthless. If there's not one, shame on you because your company is far too large and prominent to screw something as big as this as badly as you have so far. You just gave up a defensive TD but you get the ball kicked off to you again. You have a chance to score and get back even before this becomes a blowout. Or you can continue to not give a shiznit about your customer service and let your reputation get trashed (deservedly) by **** poor handling of this situation.

Heard from a reliable source that theyre sooooo backed up on cashflow, whatever current deposits/payments made are used to buy/ship parts, pay vendors, and other miscel expenses from previous obligations! It only a matter of time they get additional cash to fund new orders....Good luck.

Honestly I don't know what to believe. There are so many people who have come out of the woodwork with complaints about GTM taking forever to do even minor jobs that it seems like they have simply bitten off WAAAY more than they can chew.
I wouldn't want to speculate on their cashflow because there would really only be one or two people at GTM who really know about that. It would make sense though and partly explain the delays.
I agree with BB in that they simply dont have anyone on-board who actually knows how to run a business efficiently and have spread themselves to thin. They have so many projects that are work-in-progress but nothing that seems to be getting completed. Plus their complete failure at communicating what is happening has made the situation far worse.
I can stick it out a little longer but there will come a point where enough is enough. Delays are one thing, losing faith that they will actually be capable of delivering a product and then providing the required support for that product is something else.

I spoke with Sam last week and he said something about still having issues with the cast parts not being to spec and having to be reordered multiple times. Apparently everything else is ready to go but they still need to test all of the new cast parts before they can start shipping. He didnt want to put an actual timeframe on when they will start shipping though but hoped that it would be within a month....
