Hydro-locked my car
#46
It does rev freely in gear on the road. The exhaust was nvr raspy before, I had the tune done prior to drowning my engine. I nvr knew the engine had a rev limit in park or neutral, can anyone confirm this? Im really worried about my transmissions hesitation in first gear. Ima see if theyll fix it but im still looking for a replacement car.
Edit: so after letting my car sit and cool off it seems like all the problems have gone away and it's driving and sounding like before (fingers crossed)

Damn, I was reading this thread and thought, hell I live in CT and we did get a ton of rain. I was worried about my R2C intake picking up water, but I didn't encounter any huge puddles. Hope the G gets squared away for you.

yah best of luck to ya. my car is pretty much back to normal save some ridiculous first gear lag. WOT in 1st from a dead stop and it pulls away like it has 80 hp until it hits ~3k-3.5k rpm. running out of things to check to rectify the problem

People in texas are buying the flood cars from NYC and Jersey and spending some serious coin to have them fixed and running....your situation stinks and im sorry but this would be the best timing to build the motor of your dreams unless youre leasing

Nah I own it. Ima try and sort out the hesitation. Pull the plugs and check the gaps, then ill probly go back to the tuner and have him retune it and finally ill drain and refill the transmission. I already cleaned the mafs and tb's also I did the idle air relearning and throttle position sensor reset.
