New Z1 Headers are out!

I don't know if anyone on here saw these yet but the Z1 (momentum style) headers are finally out. These were originally developed by momentum for a DE application but someone ran them on the VHR with older cats and got amazing results. Since then momentum went out of business and the last set of the original headers was sold by Z1 a few months back.

After momentum went down Z1 decided to start producing this design as its the only shorty header proven to make good power on our car. They feature equal length runners and awesome collectors. Heres a vid of them putting out about 325whp on a 370z with the stock catback! I believe one tuner on the370z also got a 370z up to 350whp using only these and other bolt ons.

Here's a link to Z1's site for more info.

What do you guys think?

I saw this listed on their site last week and was intrigued. It's a beautiful piece and looks very promising. I want it. I don't even mind the price but after the cost of install, I have to think twice.

^Definately a good option. Personally long tubes are way too loud for me and none of the available shorties make much power to be worth the install price. These seem like they actually perform!

John from Z1 says they are working on another version with the newer flange for the VHR so you can use the headers with HFCs, test pipes, etc. from places like FI, Motordyne, etc.

Good to know. Didn't realize these wouldn't work with what most people are already using. I'll wait for more info and revisions to work with my Berk HFC.

Thats great news for anyone who already has done cats. I wonder if they'd do a group buy on the VHR model

those are beautiful, they apparently are the real deal. I had a 370 and saw a few threads a while back about how much power these put out. the highest hp na z is running them I believe.

I think a group buy is in order once they have the revised version available.

What does it typically cost to install headers in a G?

There is nothing that bugs me more than watching a video of a car on a dyno with background music. What's the point!!

Do we know what the car put down before the headers & tune?

Interesting. Idk if I'll go for it considering what I already have vs the price and the pita install.
