Start Up, Then Idle Drops

Isnt taking the Throttle Body off and cleaning the butterfly valve going to mess up the timing of the intake? Car will run like crap? Correct me if I am wrong...
I have had this issue as well, car will dip bellow a certain RPM and will come back up. I want to clean my TB and do an ECU reset right after, but afraid to mess up the timing of the intake.
Feedback guys?

Hey Lefty, do you have any performance mods installed?
I have the same car, except mine is a sedan, with 35k miles and am having a very similar issue. When the RPMs drop do you get any vibration or rattle?

No performance issues. I get a slight vibration when it drops really low. Only seems to happen after turning the car on and off a few times a day. Possibly heat soak, but I don't know why this car would have it. I'm at 31,800 miles now.

-update-
I was on my way home yesterday and came up to a red light, everything seemed normal up until the light changed to green. I started to accelerate and the car went sluggish and seemed like it was choking. The motor struggled to get up to 2k showing signs of a stall. I immediately pulled over, stopped and started the car and the problem went away. My car will be in the shop thursday to see whats up.

Hate to bump this old thread, but it's back. Cleaned my throttle bodies back in September and have only put about 5500 miles on it since then. I guess I'll pull the throttle bodies back off and see if they're dirty again. If they are, that's going to **** me off because I haven't put much mileage on.
It's fine the first 2 or 3 startups right now, but then after that it'll start, then drop. Then the next 2 times or so it'll be fine. Then drop again.

Same Problem, I think....
Hi guys same thing idle drop.
i do have intakes installed K&N but the drop is annoying i guess ...
It does seem like it has something to do with the throttle body
Has anyone had any luck with this.
Is it really bad for our motors ?
My car is driving perfectly no issues .
Im guessing it could be caused from have short rams installed . and when we stop at a light the flow of air becomes restricted to the engine bay. Therefore fresh oxygen is not present. So the throttle body has to pull more oxygen the originally anticipated.
Whats everyone else think ?
