Hesitation

any later models reporting this problem?
i was just thinking yesterday how my G goes like stink after not driving it for a week. no lag at all on my 2013 7AT.
i test drove a 2012 before i bought this one, and it was laggy and felt more like 230hp. almost turned me off to G's completely. that car was in rough shape, though. under the hood, it looked more like a 15 yo car than a 3 yo car.

I just cleaned my MAF, air filters, throttle bodies, and replaced the sparks plugs. Hesitation is still kind of present, but the car idles smoother, slightly better MPG and just a slight more responsive.

I didn't notice hesitation when I had my 2008.. Next time you test it take notice of the RPMs. Are the RPMs revving and the car is just not moving as fast?
The torque converter on the 08's had relatively high stall and for a stock auto-transmission car, and had much less "lockup" while driving unless you floored it. My 7AT feels more direct but a bit more clunky than the 5AT (I digress)
The other thing to keep in mind is that the car has a "drive by wire" throttle. There is going to be a slight delay between pressing the accelerator and engine response but it should not be anything alarming.
If it seems otherwise out of the ordinary then cleaning the throttle bodies might help you. After I cleaned mine it felt like a totally different car. I had not noticed how much it had affected performance over the years.

The one thing I noticed about this lag, cuz I have it too, is I think its linked to the traction control. I have been driving with my VDC off and it has been a little more responsive. It still stutters a little but nothing like when it was on. It could just be psychological and I am by no means saying this is 100% the problem, but it is a noticeable difference to me
Mine had horrible lag, but I think it was the granny owner driving it before me...now I drive it in DS all the time flooring it as often as I can and it seems to be less lag...I am going to try turning off the VDC and see how that works....
All these drive by wire cars have this ...even the Grand Sport Corvette I owned had it...not to this degree. However, they had a solution:
Vitnesse throttle controller...I purchased this and man it made a significant difference in driving the Vette so I can only imagine if we had this....

Too bad our aftermarket support does not have something like this.

Hold up guys did some searching...found this:
Blitz Throttle Controller for Infiniti G37
It appears that people have tried this and it works!
https://www.myg37.com/forums/support...orsport-3.html
https://www.myg37.com/forums/modding...ontroller.html
I think the problem was that no one understood the concept so most of the threads died out multiple years ago.
However, our lag happy G37 continues to have throttle lag.
I need to do more research but this appears to be the exact same thing that eliminated the lag on the Corvette I owned.
You can probably get a tune to do the same thing but that can void a warranty and tuners could run you lean and other problems.
This does not change the tune on your stock car and can be removed before you go into service.
It simply fools your ECU through the unit and the pedal sensor and the throttle lag is gone ....
Add Horse power ...no, makes you faster at WOT ...no
Get rid of lag around town and on the progressive movement to WOT ...yes

Another brand....Sprint Booster USA Official North American Distributor
I am going to purchase one of these and then do a thread on install and my experience if its anything like the Viteese I purchased for my Vette this will make our cars allot more responsive and enjoyable to drive.

When you put it in park or neutral and try it do you still have the lag (I don't have any lag when it is in p/n).
I have the 5at and recently had the transmission flush. Now it is very responsive but it is probably because the dealer reset it.
