CSC and bearinf noise

Since January I have been hearing a rattling noise underneath, especially in the garage, and at drive thru's. I know the throw out bearing was acting up. earlier this week I got in the car after it sat all night, and I noticed the rattling has gone away, and the engagement of the clutch has dropped, I drove around a little and it seemed to correct itself. The next 2 days pretty much were the same issue, I took the car into the dealership and complained about the bearing in which I know is covered under the powertrain warranty that is still in effect, It is my understanding that the CSC is also part of the unit. I am hoping to kill 2 birds with one stone. The dealer had a tech go on a test drive with me and after my explanation, he said he would just change the bearing which is part of the unit right ????? any advice from the forum would be great...... I love this car!!!!! I regret not buying an extended warranty

How do you remember the spelling of your screen name??

First off, did you buy the car new or used? How long have you had the car for? Assuming you've had the car prior to january, and this is a new noise, then it's possible there is some failure. Keep in mind, most 6mt's make noises. Usually it sounds like marbles in a can - some louder than others.

My main concern would not be the throwout bearing. Rather why did the engagement point drop. This indicates a possible problem with either air in the line (last time clutch was bled?), or a CSC or master failure.

If the dealership has agreed to change out the throwout bearing, now would be a good time to change the CSC (which is not covered under powertrain, but is under extended if its leaking). If it's not leaking, and the car is high miles, change it anyway, go with the Zspeed heavy duty csc. Both require dropping the trans to do so. Finally, this mighit be a good time to change the clutch itself out.

And if you really want to do it right, change out the MC too.
