G37x '10 to '12 Transmission
Brought my car in for server yesterday. They gave me a '12 G37x (damn thing stinks of smoke.)
The transmission seems to be so much smoother then my '10 G37x. Seems like less hesitation when getting on the car. This car has 12k miles on it. My G37x has 25k miles on it.
Did they make any transmission changes over the two years?

I dont think so. But the loaner my feel quicker cause they probally beat the crap out of it when they drive it, Our cars lean driving habbits :/ You drive like grand ma all the time you car will reach thay way, Just get in to it once and a while and you should be fine,

There was a minor modification done in the end of 2010, usually this means it went on to the 2011 model. The other thing to notice is that after use in your car there is a bracket that can become looser as you drive in the tranny. It is not a big deal but it can result in slower shifts going in to and out of 4th gear. This can be fixed easily by going to a tranny shop or asking if infiniti will do it for nothing.

Its a little sleeve more then a bracket that is suppose to be tight for 3rd and 5th gear as they are electronically changed but 4th is direct. because 4th is direct it has this sleeve for keeping everything aligned for a quicker shift.. Not exactly a pro when it comes to tranny work, but it made a lot of sense when I saw the tranny on the bench.
