okay to mix manual transmission lubes?
alright, so first off i admit i didn't read carefully and only ordered 3 quarts of lube and i need 3 quarts and 4 ounces. my bad.
i'm using amsoil manual transmission and transaxle gear lube 75W90 APIGL4 (which i ordered online). there is absolutely no one around me that carries this stuff. i'd really rather not pay shipping again for 1 more bottle, so can i just get another brand of synthetic for the 4oz i need? as long as the numbers match it's pretty much all the same isn't it?

The Amzoil is supposed to be compatible with other types of manual tranny fluids so I think just the 4 oz.'s of synthetic will not affect it's quality nor shifting functionality. Just make sure it's meant for a manual transmission and not a gear lube which is really meant for a differential. Good luck.

Thanks for the response.
After more thought I'm going to hold off on changing it all together. My G seems to be eating clutch fluid. Not a good sign. Could be the dreaded CSC trouble. No sense changing the manual trans fluid until I know what's going on.
