This weekend i bought an 09 G37s sedan. My clutch pedal assist spring has been taken out, but I still have the parts. However, the piece that comes from the top has been broke off, so the assist spring cannot be held in place. I went to my local infinti dealership to see if they had this small piece in stock because it seemed like an easy fix. But they told me they would have to replace the entire clutch pedal assembly. Does anyone know if I can find the piece that is attached to this holding pic?

Or if I do have to buy a whole new clutch pedal assembly, can anyone suggest one better than the stock one?

It probably isn't sold separately by the dealership. Try a junkyard, it'll be dirt cheap.

I just installed one on my 08 coupe and man what a difference. My buddy installed one on his G35 coupe and he really liked it too. The stock clutch pedal in our cars are garbage. Makes it difficult to drive IMO. This assembly made it feel like a different car.

 

Did you install it yourself or have someone install it for you? If you installed it yourself, how difficult was it? I'm not the best at DIY stuff. lol

 

Steve, have you thought about just picking up a pedal assembly from a junk yard/ebay?

I did it myself. I've installed one on a G35 so I knew what I was getting into. It took me about 2 hours. The instructions are only on his website so I used my iphone to follow them. If your a big guy then you may have trouble getting yourself situated under the dash. That's the only aggravating part lol.

 

Just drive without the assembly lol. Not that big of a deal.

 

I have been, just a little annoying.
