Unhappy Transmission

Hello fellow G37 drivers

I bought my 08 G37S Coupe 6MT half a year ago. Soon I noticed a whining sound from the transmission. The whine is non existent at idle, but comes around when you rev the car, it's the loudest at about 2-3k rpm, it goes away if the clutch is pressed in, though. The whine changes pitch in between shifts. It's also less noticeable when it's warm outside, but is quite loud in the cold. The clutch also had an extremely high engagement point.
This is where it gets fun. I take the car where I bought it, a mechanic goes for a ride with me, and confirms that it's abnormal. They take my car in, just to call me 2 hours later telling me that an engineer happened to be on site and he checked out my car and states that it's normal for a car with 50k miles on it. I call corporate, open a case, and it proves useless as the regional manager tells me the exact same thing that the service advisor did, it's normal.
I take the car to another dealership, they note the whine and the high engagement point, put me in a loaner and replace my transmission. I pick up the car and within the 50 mile drive home it starts making the exact same noise and is now making a light tapping sound when the clutch is pressed in. I make another appointment with this dealership, a mechanic goes for a ride with me, and in a surprised manner admits that the whining issue is back. They keep the car over the Thanksgiving weekend, call me on Wednesday(I think it was) and tell me that the service manager drove the car and the vehicle is fine. I call corporate and it's the same thing again, she tells the same thing the dealership told me.
I did a fair amount of research, and some people do say its normal on this board and the 370Z board, but not everyone has the whine, and this is a car that retailed at 35-40k. Why is it normal for my car to sound supercharged when it isn't?

I had a 97 Maxima, an 07 350Z(HR), an E39 540i, and a 2013 Genesis Coupe 2.0T. All were manuals, none of those cars' transmissions whined.

I'm sort of venting here but am also wondering if there are any other options for me to explore in order to try to resolve this issue? I love this car but the whine is killing me, that and the creaking dashboard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I noticed this on my '12 after about 2K miles on the odometer. Ultimately, after much research it's quite common on these cars. Turn the stereo up, get a louder exhaust, get an automatic Why? The 370z and g37 mt's both share the same driveline. Down to the same gearing even IIRC.

For the high pedal uptake you can do one of the pedal adjustments, or get the rjm adjustable pedal bracket.

I'm surprised the clutch pedal feel isn't one of your complaints . For that we do have a cheap solution.

Here's some threads on the topic.

I'm aware of the same driveline on the Gs and the Zs, but I'm kind of surprised that you're ok with this. A whining transmission isn't a characteristic of any 'performance' car out there on the market.

I've had my eyes on the RJM pedal for a while, the clutch in this car is somewhat tricky but doable, though.

Thank you for your response.

I'm not OK with this, but my options are limited. Since there's no known fix, I'm not sure what I could get nissan to do. Maybe swap the trans. What happens if the noise returns. The whine is really low volume and noticeable below highway speeds when no stereo is on. I normally don't drive with the stereo off, and so long as the stereo is on, even when not loud, it's enough to drown out the noise.

Short of getting a different car, I see few other options. This doesn't bother me enough to do so. My old camaro would hum at speeds over 60 mph... Each car has its issues it seems.

I've driven worse cars before, like the kia i had before this. The damn thing require constant steering corrections to keep the car in a straight line. I'll take this slight whine over poor steering geometry any day.

The G37S 6MT isn't known for its refinement - lots of NVH from the drivetrain and a fairly brutal clutch.
