new clutch, flywheel, hd csc = dead pedal

clutch was going bad so i decided to go with southbend ss clutch and flywheel combo with the hd csc from zspeed. picking the car up from the shop the set up worked perfectly. pedal was stiff and engagement was very much improved from stock. drove the car for around 50 miles between wednesday and today until i got to this issue. i started the car and i noticed that the pedal did not go back up. I put the car on gear and it was smooth as butter, drove it around the block and noticed that the engagement/disengagement of the clutch was a lot lower than usual and that the pedal did not spring back up after it engaged. so i parked the car. turned it off. started it back up, and now the pedal is completely dead. (well an inch off the floor so it still takes some pressure to floor it and start the car).i however still can't get the car on gear or anything. i checked the fluid and its at max so there cant be a leak. the shop is closed so im going to have to wait until monday and get the car towed. for now im going to try and bleed the air out using an old school method i learned, press clutch and leave reservoir cover off hoping the air will surface overnight .

update: after my failed way of bleeding the air overnight, i decided to try a method i saw here in the forum with a guy and his corvette. i used the flavor injector for turkey to suction all of the fluids out. hand pump the clutch. take the rest of the fluid out and refilled it with a fresh bottle of DOT3. the clutch is still sticking but is now driveable. i read from 6mt that the method i used needs to be done 3-4 times to allow the fluids to cycle all the way through.

update: drove a couple of times around the block and the pedal is completely dead. the master cylinder has to be the point of failure. gotta call the shop tomorrow.

car is way out of warranty hahaha but good news is that the shop is going to troubleshoot and do labor for free =) mechanic is saying that its possible the HD csc had a kink on the line since the ss braided line is a good 4-5in longer than the factory line. they're going to drop the tranny again tomorrow morning. ill keep this updated until issue is resolved.

update: mechanic just called me and after dropping the tranny and re-checking the hd csc, he confirmed that it is the master cylinder that failed. Part is going to be replaced with oem Infiniti and labor is only going to be charged for replacing the part.

I guess anytime you mess with the clutch, do it right and do it all to save yourself future headaches.

@jsolo I should've known that if the slave cylinder was going to be replaced, the master should be too. But lessons learned
