rev limiter & uprev tune

so i've been messing around do7ing some standing burnout but i keep on revving past 7700rpm and keep hear the fuel cut off. my max uprev map is unlimited mph/7600rpm. is it possible that 7600rpm is not set at all. and i'm assuming only way to check is to take it to a tuner?

does anyone know the stock rev limiter for and 2008 g37s coupe?

There are 2 rev limiters, one is throttle cut, the other is fuel cut.
Your tuner should have set both.

Speed limiter can not be set to unlimited, it has to have a number, mine is set to 300mph!!

You know I will!!

It was an arbitrary number.
Tuner said I couldn't remove the limiter, just raise it, so I said 300mph!!

^^ This. Set your soft limiter 200rpms below the hard limiter (fuel cut). You do not want to hit fuel cut. It's only there in case the soft limiter fails.

It is possible the gauge in the car could be off by 100 rpm +/-...

most of the time i get a lot of wheel hops. i'll probly change bushing over the winter.

i actually felt my rev limiter kick in the other day. let's just say a dodge charger tried to pass me while i was on 2nd gear, so i floor it all the way to red line and rev limiter or fuel cut off actually kicked in.
