R&R transmission fluid . . .

on a 2011. Has anyone had this done yet? Is it the usual drain-fill-drain-fill-drain and fill, or does the dealer have a way to do 100% replacement like a pressurized brake bleeder, good fluid in and bad fluid out until good fluid starts coming out?

Both of my G's are manual, but the simplest way I've found to fully flush transmission fluid on a car is to find the capacity of the system, buy that much plus an extra quart or two, and disconnect the line to the transmission cooler. Run the old fluid out of the disconnected line into a bucket. Be careful, it may spray out vigorously. Pour in as much new fluid as you recover in the drain bucket. When the fluid draining is new and not old, you've flushed it all out of the torque converter. Top it off to the proper level.

I have done this several times on the 7AT. It can actually be very difficult without the right tools.

The 7AT does not have a fill port like the old 5AT had. There are actually two drain plugs on the pan. One drain plug you open to drain the fluid, the other drain plug is actually for refilling the fluid.

The correct procedure requires reading the transmission oil temperature sensor to make sure it is within the specified value, then you open the fill plug and let oil come out. If the amount of oil coming out is not much, you overfill it to make sure that the amount coming out for sure is topped up with the hole. All this is done while the transmission is running AND the fluid is in the correct temperature range.

NO NO NO NO!!!!

Only the last step, to verify proper fill, by removing the overflow plug, is the engine allowed to be running.
DO NOT drain, and refill the fluid with the engine running.

Here's the charging pipe for the 7AT,

You will also need 2 new orings.
# 315268E000

How does one "read" the existing temp sensor? Is a CONSULT III the only option?
