Yea I would love to get a dyno and tune, but it is, unfortunately, not in the budget at the moment.

I paid $450 direct from Z1. Arrived in about 3 days.

I'm glad I went with the aluminum. Carbon fiber is nice, I'm sure it will weigh between 7 - 9lbs, but will cost double that of Aluminum (probably even more).

Would still love to see the Dyno. If the gain is super, then this will be my last mod.

Sooooo long story short, and keep in mind I have no dyno's from before or after, so this is all seat of the pants impression...I feel a slight difference.

Is it the 30rwhp that the infamous thread from 6MT purported that the drive shaft gained on a G35? HELL NO. Definitely not. I feel like there is a bit more pull, especially in the mid-to-uppder RPM range. This seems to be most noticeable in 4th, 5th, and 6th gears. It seems like my highway passing ability is somewhat improved...but the difference is MINOR!

I would love to get some hard evidence, i.e. dyno's, but not sure if that will be happening in the near future. I wouldn't advise anyone against getting the drive shaft, if your heart is set on it, but I would definitely warn you that if you are expecting a 30rwhp you will be sorely disappointed.

Anyways, if anyone has any specific questions about the performance or install, ask away!
I still think it's worth it. You should get some light rims too if you havent yet. That will deff make a diff as well

Since the driveshaft is only available for MT at the moment, and the difference between AT and MT shafts are the differential flange at the end. Wonder switching to MT differential fit with the MT aluminum driveshaft in an auto? You could also swap the final drive gears if this is possible.

yah the lengths might be different. I was referring to the 5AT coupes, 7AT coupe flanges are same as MT I think.

Yeah. To clarify my cryptic response (lol), even if the flanges are the same, the shaft length itself may vary so it may require shimming up (easy) or cutting down (hard).
