G37x Exhaust Layout

Could someone explain how a G37 exhaust is setup?

What is the difference between a midpipe and a Y pipe? where are the CAT's housed?

what are exhaust headers?

is it engine->exhaust headers> ? >?>mufflers?

what are the components of a catback exhaust?

What consitutes a "full exhaust" vs cat back exhaust.

I see references to X pipes or H pipes where do they fit?

Thank you very much.

Those two things alone will help you find the answers you need young grasshoppa.

we're all too lazy to try to explain it.

Factory Setup:
V-Engine -> Header on each cylinder bank -> catalytic converter after every header -> y-pipe connecting both cats -> mid pipes -> Muffler. Here's what the OEM catback looks like (not as shiny though)

Aftermarket exhausts can get creative though with all sorts of swaps, pics and threads are all over this place
