Nice! The video says it's only a baseline dyno, so I assume your buddy's G is the test fit car for the twin SC? Hopefully we'll be able to see the final production soon!

It is my understanding that all work is done from under the trans. Where the cover on the bottom is removed.
Still crossing my fingers to get it back Saturday!

Funny cause now I do not think I'm doing anything... I talk to Rich at UPREV for about 20 mins ago, about this and he told me they experience with these upgrades and the uprev tune,( SC G37-Stillen kit, and a SC truck) he told me to stay away from these mods. Just weird cause he actualy told my the trans is very good and with a upraded TQ and or VB the tune has a hard time controling shifts and the tranny kinda does what it wants, As long as my TQ tables have been changed he said I was fine. ?

What are "TQ tables?"
You do not need to drop the transmission to do the valve body upgrade. You do have to drop the transmission to swap out torque convertors.
Some transgo shift kits come with a few extra parts that go deeper into the transmission but those are normally left in the box unless the transmission is already out.
I would stay away from a torque convertor unless you are making serious changes to the engine. No reason at all to change it.
Valve bodies are the heart, soul, and brains of the transmission. Newer transmissions have a lot more computer controls but it still comes down to the mechanics. This particular transmission (RE5RO5A I believe) is more mechanical than computer driven. Tuning will only get you so far.
Some outfits that really know their stuff will do a lot of custom work to valve bodies. It's not uncommon for them to use a Transgo kit to start things out. The right springs and parts are in the kits and it gives them a place to start. I do not know any details of these custom valve bodies for these RE5RO5A. I understand that the information has to be protected, but no one talks about this kind of stuff at all in the import world.
The best transmission mod is a well put together valve body coupled with a good tune.
