oil? on exhaust tip
hi, I'm new to the forum. Just got a 2012 G37coupe 6MT! Love it so far. I have a question though...I searched and couldnt find the answer: I have about 600 miles so far and noticed what looks like oil on the left exhaust tip - both have carbon, but the left after a week or 2 has a little bit of a gummy coat on the inside bottom of the tip. It hasnt used any oil yet. Any one else see this? Thanks

Could this be a result of the oil that it used from the factory? I did not notice this on mine which was new in 08. I know in older engines they used what was called "cutting oil" which allowed for more wear. The purpose was for everything to seat properly and break in, specifically the rings I think.

Either that or he has the OIL concumpsion, I have oil all over my exhaust tips on my Z, After 3 months off complaining and a lawsuit though the lemon law I got a new motor, This was 5 years ago but there have been threads with the G's having the same issue. I did not have any oil on my tips or my wifes exhaust tips, ever. Got both cars brand new,
