It was easier that I thought it would be. The hardest part of installing it was removing most of my MD exhaust (everything except the Y pipe) and reinstalling it. The driveshaft itself was very easy. I do not have access to a lift, I did this with just the rear of the car on jack stands. You must remove 2 aluminum heat shields that have 4 small nuts and and 6 bolts respectively. There are 2 nuts holding the bearing where the 2 parts of the OEM shaft connect and 4 nuts bolts that fasten the rear U joint of the shaft to the flange of the rear differential. None are difficult to access at all.

Scale of difficulty - 4 out of 10. I did it by myself without a helper and didn't need air or power tools.

Doing it while installing exhaust is ideal because the exhaust must be partially removed to install the drive shaft anyway.

That's some good news J. I've hold off into modding for a while but this mod has been on my list since page 1. How's the butt dyno?

Edit. Is this product currently discontinued? I looked at their website and can't seem to find it.

I don't know if they are still making them anymore, I thought I read a post somewhere on the forum where they were no longer being being made. Don't know if that's permanent or temporary. If you're seriously interested, give them a call.

Butt dyno notices a distinct difference. Unfortunately I live too far out in the sticks and don't have the time to have gotten a before dyno, brought the car home to do the swap, and go all the way back to get an after dyno. I saw all I needed to see on the G35 dyno posted at the beginning of the thread. Revs come faster both up and down. However keep in mind that I also have a lightweight flywheel and so I've shaved about 24 lbs of rotational mass between the engine and rear differential.

I've had the driveshaft installed for almost 5 months now. Still loving it and not having a single issue. I know it made power because comparing tunes with others and DynoJet numbers, I'm making similar power with LESS timing. Methanol direct port kit is being installed as we speak. Should make a couple extra ponies reliably.

But yes, I would recommend it for sure!

Hey can you post up what you find? I'd be interested in picking one up, if that would be more incentive for them...
