I've always been against any additives to anything. There are so many detergents and cleaners in our fuel and motor oil today that going to any well known branded gas station (like Shell, BP or Mobile) should be good enough for what you're driving. If it was designed for a specific additive, I think the manufacturer's would recommend it in their service schedule. just my $.02.

I do some seafoam every now and then. Not too often though cause I don't put anything in my car but 93.

^me too... Ive just sea foamed through the vacuum hose and that's it I don't add it to the crank case or the gas tank

Seafoam about once a year or so. Fuel tank, upper cylinder, and crank case.

It doesn't work.... my friend used sea foam for 5 years on his 335i
there were alot of carbon build up on his engine.. when he decide to clean it all up

Maybe not doing It enough for his driving conditions? Maybe not adding enough?

From what I'm understanding, seafoam is the best stuff you can use. I always have some in the house as well as the seafoam spray cleaner.

So all i need is 1 bottle; half gas tank and half where the oil goes and drive it for 150 miles and do an oil change correct?

Sounds about right. I didn't change the oil though...I just let it run until the next time.

I think that's what he was trying to say. His friend used sea foam for 5 years on his 335i but there was still a lot of carbon build up after he went in to clean it out.

Everyone says to change the oil after 100-300 miles. Thats what im going by.
