Why are there two oil change reminders on my '11 g37 6mt? There is one on the navigation/LCD screen, and one near the speedometer. The one on the nav is easy to manipulate, however, the one near the speedo is a pain in the A-- to manipulate. The buttons are not intuitive and it is just plain silly to have two reminders regarding oil change/filter. BTW, I only change oil every 5-7 K regardless of what any "jiffy-lube" type of businesses say.

 

Then only use one of them. How hard is that? The one in the dash isn't specifically for oil and filter. You can set it to any mileage interval you like to remind you of whatever you want it to. Tire rotation. Air filters. Transmission fluid. Differential oil. Engine coolant. Whatever you like. There's also the option of not setting them at all if you don't like them.
