Not entirely sure, but after reading about 40 pages it looks like most ppl that try to push the stillen kit end up blowing their motors. Better go turbo if your trying to push tons of boost.

I can't decide if I want to chance blowing up my healthy 08 motor that has 90k miles?

Anyone have this kit on a higher mileage g for an extended period of time?

Any plans on a fuel return kit or or moving the MAFs? I've seen people go this route and blow their motors. It's most likely due to fueling issues/IATs. If you aren't switching out for EcuTek, I'd be very careful.

Stock motor, from what i have read and heard to rotating assy is good unless you break 400 ft lbs tq, i am now at 331 so i don't think i will get over 400 ft lbs with this. I have uprev mafs and the tuner said that there would be plenty of voltage. I don't have anyone even remotely close to me that does ecutek. If i pop the motor im going to throw in a z1 proformance short block with a 9:1 ratio

Get sebastian from specialty z to tune it remotely. SI upgrade + 9psi pulley will get you around 13psi btw.

SC G37. Not by much, but I had him at the upper half of each gear. I'd start making ground over 5-5.5K. Shortly after, he would shift, and I would keep pulling to a higher redline. It seemed pretty close power-wise (I'd bet our dyno sheets are pretty close), but the gearing and higher redline helped move the g37 down the road faster.

BTW, this was on the front straight at Summit Point Main. Middle of 4th to the top of 5th gears in the G - speeds of 90-140 mph. The gearing could have played out differently in different gears or speeds, so YMMV.

I have 4.08s and all the na bolt ons Was planning on doing cams throttle bodies , lower manifold and CF driveshaft, but now I'm leaning towards the SC Initially i will leave the 4.08s and see how they pair up with the sc. A couple of my friends have 335s and we drag at our local drag strip ETown The season is coming up I wanna make sure I'm not wasting money

If you're thinking about building for quarter mile, you want all the power you can get. These cars are terrible to launch, so I'd bet a 335 would lunch on you and you would have to make it up on the after the 1/8th. I haven't drag raced my car yet, but I suspect high teens in the mph. Something in the neighborhood of 117-119mph. Do you know what your friends' BMWs usually run? My guess is that a SC'd G would run in the high 12's, but with a high mph because of the launch. Also, you'll probably have to shift into 5th just before the line, so that would hurt your time as well.
