Yeah, have there been multiple failures of these intercoolers? If so, then that is a whole other issue and I would feel like I was owed something. Hopefully, you can have some luck in stillen helping you out and you can find a good used motor. Heck, maybe just use this opportunity to build a proper motor prepped for fi. Anyway this goes I wish you luck :-)

thanks. stillen will help me out but not sure if it will just happen again in another 18k miles. a lot of money for poor parts if it turns out to be the case

I totally understand your apprehension. Maybe just sell the stillen kit and go gtm twin sc kit instead? Lol

Aside from Installation errors and bad tunes the STILLEN Kit has proved to be incredibly reliable. Our previous stock tunes were not optimized for all climates, conditions, and octanes. However, after recently creating regional tunes we have seen much better and more consistent power gains as well as better reliability.

Here is a light rev just to 4K. I also went back to stock cats per Stillen's recommendation. After a few hundred miles with my HFC's, one was blown and my car now actually feels and sounds much better now with the stock cats.
