Oil Change

I was reading several posts yesterday to determine where the filter and drain plug on my 2011 G37X Sedan were located. Most suggested that there were four bolts that had to be removed to flip back a plastic cover for access. I jacked up my car and noticed that it has a cut out in the plastic to allow access to the drain plug and there is a small plastic flap (perhaps 4" x 6") with a single 10mm bolt which when removed allows access to the filter for removal. Infiniti must have changed the design of the cover. There's no need to jack up the car and makes oil changes rather simple.

In any case, I'm trying to purchase some Pennzoil Ultra 5W-30 in the Toronto area. No luck. I read a post that it was available in Walmart. I went to one today and saw only 1 jug of 5W-20 without any shelf stickers indicating that this was a regular stocked item. My guess is that Walmart stocked for a while then dropped it. Anyone know where to purchase?

What you've described applies only for the AWD models.

The regular RWD versions have the 4-bolt flap that reveals both the drain + filter.

Regardless, I think you still need to jack up the car to get under, unless you're a smurf
