Thanks,

Gforce?

Prepare yourself for a newbie question:

Sorry if this was posted before, but I couldn't find it on a thread search.
Does this perform anything like it claims?

INFINITI G37 GF Peformance Chip

Has anyone ever done this?
A 60HP gain seems kind of iffy to me..

thanks,
kenn

I wouldn't suggest doing it.

Merged the 2 identical GForce threads.

On your N/A car, all this "chip" (resistor) will do is try to fool your ECU by sending it a different signal from your MAF and screw up your AFR. The car might combat this erroneous information by adding or reducing fuel to try to correct the problem the chip is causing by sending the false signal.

There are inexpensive chips that can create power on factory turbocharged cars. This ain't that chip, and this ain't one of those cars.

I've only known chips to be popular on the vw/bmw scene. Couple of my buddies with GTIs have them and love them. I think I saw that it's claiming up to 60hp gain for $60. Way I look at it is... if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you're wanting gains, get test pipes and a tune from Uprev. And don't be afraid to ask questions, least you're trying to learn

fyi, i was curious to see where they were located. According to their website 17595 Harvard Irvine, CA.
google mapped it and it turns out i drive by that plaza almost everyday to school. i have never ever seen this store/shop in the plaza. sounds like a bogus address. lol.

Chips like these are bogus... pure snake oil. The only way you'll be going a bit faster is by losing weight of the $60 missing from your wallet.
