Wavetech LSD vs. Quaife LSD

Anyone have experience between the two or know of anyone with experience between the two? In talking to Uprev yesterday they suggested going with the wavetech LSD over the Quaife as it's a slightly better product and will work with the stock shaft instead of having to modify my stocker or purchase a new one like the Quaife. Thanks.

What shaft are you talking about? I only changed my ring and pinion and LSd and I was good to go.

In my talkings with Z1 auto, since I have a factory LSD, the quaife LSD needs some sort of shaft that is shorter than the factory one to work or you can have your factory shaft cut down.

Do you currently have a VLSD in your car? Also is this a 6mt thing? THe only thing That they swapped was my bearings ring and pinion and my LSD to quafie. He did say that the ring and pinion was a tad short than my last one as far as length but he said he didn't think it would be a prob. Been about 10k miles since all good.

Coming from the bimmer side (happily), the wavetrac (which is what I think you meant ) is kind of taking the aftermarket lsd world by storm. I was considering one for my sc'd zhp. It behaves like a hybrid of a torque sensing quaife and a clutch type, offering the smooth engagement and better turn in characteristics than the quaife because doesn't act like an open diff like the quaife. Excellent track durability , but long term 100,000+ mile service data not available yet as its brand new. I'm not sure if they offer a lifetime warranty like quaife which is a definite plus.
