Motul 8100 Eco-nergy vs 300V

Was hoping to see if any of you guys had insight into the two products. I'm having a rather difficult time finding any main differences. Is it true that the Eco-nergy 5W30 is NOT ester based? The bottle says it is...but BITOG seems to say otherwise? I'm actually currently running Motul 8100 5W30 Eco-nergy at the moment. I switched from Amsoil mainly for convenience. Plus it's ester based (or at least so I thought). Thoughts? Thanks all!

PS I was told that 300V probably wasn't the best for a DD car, seeing that the additives were race car based? Something about it not holding well with longer oil intervals and multiple cold starts, etc..
