doing burnouts possible in an auto tranny awd g?

MOST people don't go for AWD to lose grip... rather to gain grip...no?
My last car was an AWD Sport Sedan, and I never even thought about a "burnout"
Just getting the car off the line consistently was enough of a challenge, BUT,
hey...to each his own!
Sounds like x owners say it's not going to be easy though! Good Luck!

How did you do this?
And did you ever see any ill effects from this mod?

I doesn't actuality disable it, it just keeps the TQ converter locked up, I can launch the car also. Which you can't do in any auto cause the TQ unlocks after 3 seconds. The HI-Jack also makes the car like drive by wire. I think he shuts the ETC off or what ever that thing is called that controls the electronic throttle. There were a few threads on this sensor and turning it off.

I had a switch installed with an UPREV tune. If I turn off the AWD, I can smoke the tires quite easily and chirp through third.
I'm faster in a dig, though with the AWD on. I'm faster on a rolling run on the highway with the AWD totally disengaged. As stated it locks up the rear TQ converter and no power whatsoever goes to the front. Proven on a four point lift.
Finally, if you want it wild, turn off the AWD and the VDC. All kinds of silliness ensues.

Thanks!
Thanks for the reply, good info. Also to the others that replied it's not so much I regret buying an awd because I live in Utah so it is useful I would just like basically an option to have rwd or awd when I please.
