Getting new motor at 60k
I noticed that my engine was eating oil and took it to Sewell Infiniti in Dallas. They did oil consumption test and said everything was okay. After another oil change I noticed the oil is about 3 quarter or less at 2,500 mile oil change interval. I did my own test with ruler according to the oil consumption TSB and it came out "No good" area on the chart. I called another Infiniti dealership in Dallas (Crest Infiniti) and ask for second look. Took the car into Crest and got a call 2 days later saying that your car does have an oil consumption problem. That they found oil on sparks plugs. I was like WTF 
. They said they won't even have to do another oil consumption test. I was happy. They wanted proof of oil changes so I gave them oil change receipts and other junk in folder to show I took care of my baby. They also mention that they can order a long block or short block to fix the problem. Getting a long block. I don't know the differences but it's suppose to be better if they give you the long block. All I have to say is that def. get second look by another dealership if you think you have a oil consumption problem.
I drove it hard once in awhile but usually cruised at 70-75 mph on the highway, which was where most of my miles came from. Drove over 30K in a year due to work. I know. Did oil changes every 2500 to 3000k miles. I didn't even switch to synthetic oil until 20K miles. Used factory filter with Mobil 1 5-30.
Had the same problem in my '06 G35 coupe but didn't care cuz it was a lease.
Just happy to get a new motor.

The crazy thing is I did everything to take care of the engine. I warmed up the car every time even in the summer. Changed coolant every 15k. Changed air filters every 8 to 10k. Cleaned the throttle bodies twice. Used Mobil 1. I don't know wtf happened.

That's weird !! maybe the motor gets overheating which may lead to oil consumption.
There are many reasons for oil consumption.
Even oil with a viscosity that is too light may result in high oil consumption.
So i don't know what was wrong with yours , glad they give you new motor.
Btw, long block means complete engine including the head & short block without it (engine block without the head).

Congrats.
I'm dropping my '09 Vert tomorrow at the dealer for the same issue. The car has a lowly 12K miles and has used oil since day one. After doing the oil consumption survey they ordered a new engine.
Like you, I never saw any smoke or drips just a steady usage 1qt/3K. Service guy said it's a known issue with some of these engines and could be caused by piston rings/cylinders. I've been using Ester oil since day one and had the dealer do all the servicing.
I'm looking forward to breaking-in the new engine when I get the car back.

nice that you're getting a new one.
im really curious about the long/short block as well.......i wonder if someone can chime in and explain what the difference is....and what the difference is in terms of our engine.

Short block will be a "mostly there" engine. Engine minus cylinder heads and maybe a few other things
Long block is the engine + heads + few other things that might not have been there on a short block
All "accessories" (alternator, etc) are xferred from old engine to new
Last I read on the oil consumption TSB, the only option was a short block....if they give you the long block option, take it!

It's very fortunate that you discovered the problem right at the end of your warranty period. Imagine having to repair this all out of your own pocket. Anyway, congrats on the new motor! Hopefully there will be no issues with the 2nd motor.

The best way to do it is just measure how many quarters of oil comes out of the engine and see where ur dip stick marks. Just check if there's any variance on the dip stick through oil change...
