Which is why I am taking it to riverside haha. They can't void my warranty. How does a test pipe void the small spring in my shifter?
I agree that test pipes have nothing to do with your current problem. But suppose you were unlucky enough to encounter an old fashioned dealer service rep who thinks like me. Maybe he has a family member at home suffering from a respiratory illness. He would hear those test pipes as you drove up and would choose to have nothing to do with you.
Pity does it actually go into park? I know you say the button doesn't pop out, but does the vehicle stay still like it is in park? If so it's probably just a sensor or something small. If it stays in reverse I would imagine it's a bigger problem.
It goes into park. And the LCD display says park. I'm pretty sure the senor doesn't read it because the button isn't popping out/white mechanism (for those who have at) isn't coming up. I think it's a bad spring.
hahah..no its cool.....thats wild..if you came to my dealership they wouldnt bust your nuts about mods...were are super mod friendly
I'm at riverside right now, posting on my laptop haha. the guy was pretty cool about it. I hope this will be done soon. I can't afford a day without my car. Well, I can always take the train to school, but who does that??
bumping an old post....
Anyways you will need to double check on the part number since there are multiple revs (although there may not be too much different on them) Infiniti Parts - Infiniti parts.
Also its possible its not the shift assembly that has failed. On the bottom of the car where the assembly attaches to the "shift rod" (made that up) it can be adjusted via a slot. Its possible that the shift assembly has moved in the slot and causing it to not register.

Right! I was freaked out thought it was a tyranny problem at first. I think in my case the it's the shift rod thing your talking about . I can see that it is not going in properly. If you have any info on how to fix it I'd appreciate it! Thanks for the reply!
