i got mine replace under warranty at about 13k miles... in 3rd gear, going into 4th, the rpm rose up like 2-3k out of no where, felt like it was in manual and someone was just pushing down the pedal, so i went in and the dealer took the transmission down and after looking at it, they called that night and told me that they just placed an order of a brand new transmission, and replaced it for free under warranty.

buddy up here is getting his tranny swapped under warrenty. He heard grinding going into 2nd and 3rd gears. 07 G sedan 6mt

I went to the infiniti dealer last week and they said I'll have to get a new transmission. Its been about 5 days so I hope the tranny arrived at the dealer so they can fix it. 5th gear grinds.

yeah, you should have no problem. Takes a while for the shipment to come in. Took me over 2 weeks to hear back that they had gotten my new steering wheel and cluster in.

had mine replaced under 5000miles when the car still didnt even have normal plates on it yet.
serious rattle sound from the bearings.

I had my transmission replaced by Crest Infiniti 3 times when I had my 2005 G35 6mt coupe... the 5th gear would grind when i shift it in. After each replacement, it would go away, but eventually came back.

Really, mine has been doing that for a while now. But it only happens once when it's not really all the way warmed up. Guess I should have it checked out.

How are you guys getting the clutch/flywheel replaced. My clutch seems fine, but it would be nice to have a new one just for piece of mind. I have a new transmission waiting to go in under warranty in a few days, and my service writer is awesome, but told me the clutch/ flywheel is not covered under warranty because its a wear item.

my Gs had its MT tranny replaced i had to pay for the clutch though (N)... im still getting a hard vibration from 3-5th while i let off the gas and im still having to yank the shifter to go into reverse... infiniti says its all normal... sucks to be me (N) my cars had 32 warranty claims and since i imported it into canada i cant do anything about it

i bought a 2008 G37s 6MT used... when i had bought it, i noticed grinding in the 5th gear sometimes while I was on the freeway. I took it in to Cerritos Infiniti and they replaced it under warranty at around 39k miles . The service rep warned me that I might need to replace the clutch but when they opened it up they told me the clutch was fine. My car was in for about a week and now it runs smooth like butter. They told my it was the messed up synchros that was causing the grind. Everything was covered under the drivetrain warranty and I haven't had any problems since--- its been about 3 months and 3k miles later

I've had two gearbox's replaced, the car has only done 36000 miles, both 6th gear problems, making buzzing type noises and whineing , all highway driving though.
Both were replaced under warranty which is fine by me. Both times the Head mechanic took the car out to test and said to replace transmission.I'm glad I purchased the extended
warranty, as it seems to of been around 12000 per gearbox.
I still love the car and it has not put me off atall.

Mine was replaced under warranty at 44,000 miles. It's only been in for maybe 400 Ike's and it feels awesome. Feels tight and new.

I have the 2010 6MT grinding/crunching noise shifting into 5th (unless I granny shift or double clutch). We ALL need to officially log our issues on the DOT NHTSA site Vehicle Safety | National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
as consumer complaints, which may evolve into TSBs and force Infiniti to address these issues !
