Transmission additives?

Just wanted anyone's opinion if its good to add some transmission addtitives like Lucas oil or Dura Lube, my transmission is shifting hard and have used Dura Lube on another car in the past and I felt the difference.
Any good products out there?

I've used the Lucas cleaner and it just felt like I was using a higher octane than premium temporarily (seemed more responsive accelerating at cold start). This could of been a placebo effect or something, I am not sure if the cleaner is even supposed to make you "feel" performance gains or anything until after it's done cleaning.

I got the Lucas cleaner for like 10 dollars at autozone and every 6months pour a bottle in with a fresh tank of gas so it's not like it's a big loss of $ or anything.

Maybe some mechanics on here can give you a better recommendation if using additive cleaners is worth it or not.

Actually the best thing I've done is reset the ECU. If you have not done so already reset it, best of all it is free

If you have more than 30k on your car have the transmission fluid changed and flushed. That is a better solution instead of putting in additives to mask a potential problem.

Either have a reputable independent shop do it or the dealer. I would guess the cost would be in the $200 range. This is cheap insurance rather than several grand for a transmission rebuild/replacement.
