Well, if you're oil is truely 220, you wouldn't hit limp to begin with.
I would try reconnecting the stock harness, and that'll be a good place to start to see if you are or are not actually hitting temps. If you read 220, but you hit limp, your sensor would be mis-calibrated.

Good point. My original intention was to actually replace the sensor with a more precise sensor to account for drift. I posted earlier looking for the dimensions of the sensor and threads but couldnt find the info.
