You can buy my just recently purchased Stillen Gen 3 Long Tube CAI for less than new. Has less than 200 miles on it. LMK. You can also check my FS thread to have a look at it.

You have two choices in my opinion. Stillen gen 3 (some modifications needed for the install though) and r2c. stillen will give you the most gains. Lots of threads on both out there.

Stillen Gen 3 for raw power, with the sacrifice of a more difficult installation... you have to remove the bumper every 30-50,000 miles to clean the filters.

R2c for easy installation/maintenance/better filters, but you don't get nearly the gains.

Injen? People have been having issues with them... Water making its way up to the MAF sensors, bogging the car down.

The new Takeda longtubes similar to the Stillen Gen 3s? I'm still not sure about those. No splash guard for the filter behind the grill... and the rubber couplers that go through the stock air ducts will, in time, probably wear through.

I'm not interested in taking the bumper off to clean the filters. I don't have a big garage and don't want to pay to do it.

So is it worth the money to buy the R2c?

What do they run?

Check this thread here, and see what kind of deal they can get you:

https://www.myg37.com/forums/engine-...group-buy.html

They do cost less than the Stillen Gen 3, for sure.

Or, you can check the Private Classifieds section for someone selling them used. You don't have to worry about the filters IMO. They are dry filters, and are easily cleaned... and they last a long, long time.

You don't have to remove the bumper. You can turn the wheel one side to get it off. That's what i do.

You know it's real strange.. I run some of the least appreciated power mods, R2C, tanabe exhaust, Y-pipe.. no HFC and yet got 279.6 SAE WHP after tune... that's roughly equivalent to 335Whp Dynojet. Just makes you go... HUM...lol.

I'm going towards the R2C. That looks tight and I am not a HP freak, I just like easy mods that give a good bang for the buck.
