Supercharged VQ37 goes BOOM!

Not sure anyone noticed but the page was pulled for now. The image and story was provided by a 3rd party and another party (it was not Stillen nor Infiniti so no conspiracy here) asked to have it pulled until things iron themselves out. I'm sure Stillen and Infiniti will work together to figure out what happened and get it all sorted out.

Did you expect any less? With the 7AT the gears inside are smaller (and less strong) ... Increasing power without beefing up the trans is expected and Shumby knows that, which is why he's having Sam build him a stronger trans. Blowing a motor is a whole different story and also a much more expensive fix.. I'm still waiting for people to break axles and blow rear ends out.. My tuner will hardly launch his 370zTT with out fear of snapping his rear axles.

Then why isn't the QX56 experiencing frequently blown 7ATs?

I've also heard the FX50 has a stronger trans than the G's to handle the increase TQ from the V8 motors.

I still think this thread is malarky. We never had all of the information. If the owner isn't a member on the forum, we will never know exactly what happened.
Truth is, any FI application can blow a motor. Some of the posts in here saying "See! Stillen blows up motors!" are just being your typical fanboy trolls.
P.S. I plan to go with GTM in the future myself. I'm just being fair here.
