Thanks JOSH

Not only will it mess up the finish, but eventually it will bore a hole in your piping (as one member just had happen). I used some felt padding from home depot ($5) and it's held up perfectly for nearly 2 years.

I'm not sure what hardware you're talking about, but I would definitely get a hold of it. Same with the hydro shield

Sounds like their missing the U bracket used on the center radiator support that each filter end get tightened to, and that piece is bolted down.

I currently am selling my Gen3 kit, but I asked about using a hydro shield..cause I realized I forgot to put it on after I had the car all back together. Oh well. To keep from damaging the pipes, I used some rubber tubing(basically pcv tubing), cut it size, split it down on side and then wrap it around a metal edge and zip tie it secure.

I've had no issues without a hydro shield. The location of the filters higher up than the Injens is one of the reasons I went with the Gen3. Mounting hardware on the other hand would be more important. Call Stillen and find out how much they'd sell you the hardware for.

Sounds like I need to pickup some paddings! Im more worried about the U-bracket than anything else. Seems there isn't much of concern running with the shield-on. I may jus get the hydroshields in place of the missing one.

I did cotacted Stillen for replacements but all they said was what happen to those parts or where did i get my Gen3. So idk wuts the deal with their remark jus sell me want I asked for!! Ha ha

I don't know whats the deal with Stillen's sales people. They must have a bug up their a** about us Infiniti folks. I guess there's more than enough 'Stang purchasing power to keep them in business. I don't know who's in charge of their marketing dept, but they are loosing respect all over this Forum.

Despite all that, enjoy your Gen 3's!

not sure why you think that, I've never had a problem with Stillen ever. Talk to Josh@Stillen, he's a member on here and he has helped me (and lots of other G people) out multiple times.

intakes are great customer service at stillen is not as good as their intake. also they dont know how to make the grille assembly for the g37 coupe and they have an excuse on why the emblem wont fit, they say there are 2 different emblems and ones bigger than the other. just watch out for the fitment on there parts as well
