Operating oil pressure

What are you guys reading for pressure? I usually get 20 PSI at idle to 50-70 at 3000 RPM depending on the oil temp. This weekend I kept pegging 100 PSI (the max range of my sensor) at 3000 using a heavier weight (5W40) during track runs with oil temps ~200 F.

i'm at 20-23psi on idle. cruising is at 70psi. i haven't redlined it yet but my numbers are similar via HKS Camp 2

Does anyone have the minimum operating oil pressure specs vs RPM for the G? Also, at what pressure does the relief valve open? Again, I am reaching 100 PSI @ 4000-5000 RPM at operating temp. At what pressure does the relief valve open?

Maybe not so bad.

Per service manual discharge pressure for engine oil temps 176 degrees F:
idle > 14 PSI
2000 RPM > 43 PSI

Also my above needs to be put in context. I am getting those pressures using heavier weight oil.

^ IMHO Heavy oil will show higher PSI at lower RPMs. But, shouldn't the bypass open at the same pressure? If pressure gets too high bad stuff happens, not saying this is too high... just saying. 40-50 even 70 seems within what I've seen before.

Agreed that the bypass should open at the same pressure regardless of the weight of the oil. I'm just not sure at what level that pressure is set. Nor do I know what PSI is within spec at higher RPM.
I also agree that too high of a pressure is bad, which is why I am hoping to get feedback from others who routinely go > 5000 RPM and gauge their pressure levels. My current pressure sender only reads to 100. I may have to find another that measures a greater range.

I just installed my gauge (stupid me, got one that only goes to 100), yet it always is at 100 when I accelerate.

Normal?

BTW, here's a picture of what I put in.

It's possible I'm getting high pressure readings on acceleration is that I'm using a mishimoto sandwich plate.

So it's reading pressure BEFORE the filter.

Just a theory.

Idle pressure is similar at 19-20psi

Ive heard above 15psi at idle and above 40psi at 2k rpm is considered good but below those numbers is when people may want to make sure the dreaded gallery gasket isnt leaking.

I dont want to scare anyone, just putting in my .2 cents.
